Sunshine and blizzards

That's the weather here at the moment: one minute the sky is mostly blue and the sun is shining happily. The next, it's 'where's the end of the street gone?' time. Repeat.

I almost crashed the car this morning, thanks to the snow being compacted into the surface of the road and freezing, leaving a flat sheet of ice outside the house. (I've done some salt spreading since.)
