Classic Pesci in a bar scene though - foolish person has a slight argument with De Niro over a pen and so Pesci stabs him in the neck with it (repeatedly) and kicks him (repeatedly) while he's bleeding on the ground. Meanwhile, De Niro is giving "I know, but what can I do" looks to people around him.

But it still might be the one I'm thinking of...
