With the building work and a 11 year-old's friends
The power to the PC has been suddenly cut off rather more times than I'd like in the past week or so.
After it happened just before I got home last night (the 11 year old friend kicking the switch) I looked up UPS - Uninterruptible power supplies.
Gosh, they've got much cheaper haven't they?
They used to start at a couple of hundred, but the one I've gone for was under £25. OK, it only lasts for about 15 minutes, but that's enough time to either switch the power back on, or turn the PC off gracefully.
