Hello LJ world using Linux!

The new new Homechoice box was installed this morning. It is much simpler to network with than the 'old new' one was - it works via ethernet (or a USB-ethernet dongle) which Ubuntu recognised without me having to do anything :)

Which is a better LJ client for X Windows - LogJam or Drivel?

I use "Deepest Sender" and "LJ Friends List Notifier" in Firefox myself. Could get neither KDE nor GNOME clients to install - they're even more immature than [livejournal.com profile] systemiq.

I've just emerged Drivel for a quick two-minute play with it, but there seems to be a little less there than Logjam. The latter has, IMHO, a slightly better friends interface (no where near semagic on windows though) and LogJam also has a very funky offline entry - which would also double as a backup of your personal journal. Theres a little more in the way of menu tools as well, like formatting and previews.

I'll be sticking to Logjam myself.
