I need to go into London tomorrow (erm, today) for something, but what else to do?
Ooh, there's a good looking production of Ruddigore at the Tabard in West London on. I have a soft spot for this one, even though it's a second tier G&S, because it's the one opera that I've lit.
My main memories of that production are the way that the light on the conductor, about 10m up on a fixed bar, failed. Fortunately, it was at the dress rehearsal... I also remember the dry ice effect being rather weedy for the amount it cost.
Anyway, ticket booked. Let's see how fast they do the patter song.
