A quick reminder that the current run ends this Saturday... and the news that Julian Bleach, the star, is to play the Emcee in Cabaret at the Chichester Festival this summer. Alexandra Jay, the understudy-to-star of My Fair Lady, is Sally Bowles.

Wow. The Emcee is one of the 'parents' of the SHP's Greatest Actor Who... so it's just a pity that the stage show Cabaret isn't as good as the film Cabaret. It's not going to stop me seeing it though.

saw Alexandra Jay in My Fair Lady towards the end of last year, she was pretty good. we were very surprised with the extremely short list of credits she had in the programme, i think the only other thing she'd done was understudy for Cats, and she surprised us all by how good she was.
or maybe my family's just easily impressed :-)
