Meme du semaine
Oct. 11th, 2021 12:33 pm1. What is your favourite carnival/fairground ride?
I like the Cake Walk but they're uncommon now. Apart from that, I don't really have one: theme park rollercoasters etc are much better and usually considerably cheaper per ride if you go off-peak.
2. What is your favourite thing to do outside?
Cycle.
3. What is your favourite household chore?
Loading the dishwasher.
4. What is something that you always have with you?
Glasses. Very probably a phone.
5. If you could visit any single city in the world (that you have not visited before), where would you go?
There are two answers. One's Christchurch, but the main reason for that is that it would mean being in New Zealand again (and on South Island). The other one's Madrid, for the Prado gallery.
Somewhat lower down is Bilbao (for the Basque country / NE Spain generally) and Vienna. Waiting for better politics in the countries concerned: St Petersburg, Moscow, Budapest, Istanbul.
Been to in Europe, and would very happily go to again: Stockholm, Copenhagen, Dublin, GdaĆsk, Berlin, Amsterdam (plus a handful of other Dutch cities), Brussels, Paris, Prague, Geneva, Nice, Venice, Rome, Barcelona, Valencia, Thessaloniki, Athens, Alicante, and Granada. That's in vaguely north to south order, but thinking about holidays means that I can't think of a city I've been to for more than a day that I wouldn't want to go back to again.
