The string of dropped rape cases makes me even more convinced the reason the CPS have chosen to omit this section of their guidance from their website is that they're embarrassed at how easy it is for rapists to avoid being put on trial, never mind found guilty.

I've never bothered even going to the police with the assaults I've had (none on or related to the job). They put the person raped on trial rather than the rapist. It's traumatic. It's degrading. It's not worth the hardship. I say we just hire professional dodgy castration officers to track them all down.

Though interestingly, a number of the statutory rape cases were dropped because the girl in question denied anything had happened.
