just seen this on a loal mailing list. I don't use the Apple earbuds with my iPod, as they don't suit my ears (depending on where I am and what I'm doing, I either use some over the head Sennheisers, or some little Tehnics clip on things)
but I shall be warning my daughter in Norwich about this - I bought her iPod about four weeks ago, and she takes it *everywhere*.
