While waiting for the Home Office to finally publish the consultation paper on the prostitution laws, I notice that guardiansoulmates is offering free subscriptions (for a month or two) to the first two thousand people who upload a profile.

OK, why not?

It tells me there's someone who's an 84% match for me, do I want to save them in my favourites? OK, yes.

I look at my favourites... and it's me!

Ah, the perils of dating sites with not that many subscribers: the way they do their URLs show that there are about five hundred freebies to go.

Given that I'm desperately trying to get over someone I am in the process of signing up. I doubt I will be successful. My entire profile constsits of 'I don't know what to write here. I'll just keep typing til I get to 20 words' about me and who I'm looking for.

actually, I am down as looking for both, but if I do a search on women looking for women *anywhere* in the UK it lists three. I am one, one is in Wales (and I am too young for her), the other I have written to ;-)

From the look of it, the average of A's match for B and B's match for A.

So we're down as you being a 85% match for me, and I'm down as being a 68% match for you = our 2-way match is 76.5%
