DVD+-R discs

Now DVD writers are down to about £40, I'm being tempted. Even the blank media is now reasonable.

But how much difference does the various dyes different manufacturers use make?

I just got a dvd+/- RW from ebuyer. NEC, about 40 (ex vat). Using Bulkpaq orange discs (<23p each) and I love it. As a non-techy I wanted no fuss. It reads and writes everything and has made no coasters.
