That's odd

All of the spam to my main gmail account is of the form

accountname the usual spam subject lines

Is this true for everyone else?

I use gmail for yahoogroups mailing lists I'd normally set to web-only. Annoyingly, gmail has started to stick things from these in the spam, even though the messages match my tagging filters...

Yes, I get spam like that too. There's an article about it today on either slashdot or the register. Err . . . slashdot. Here.

yes, for ages i had absolutely no spam in my gmail but now they seem to have 'found' it; and, yes, gmail has also been putting some of the messages from particularly high-volume mailing lists into the spm box - but oddly not *all* messages with a given header. between that and the wierd way it groups LJ responses, i conclude that gmail is just odd and there's not much one can do about it! ;)
