Hmm, is it possible to upload things other than pictures to the LJ scrapbook?

If not, is there an equivalent to the wrapper program that would make anything appear to be an .mp3 file, so you could share it on Napster? Several formats have a 'other binary data' section, so it shouldn't be too difficult, even without going down the steganography route.

I'm guessing that the LJ scrapbook isn't very clever about sniffing files to tell they're pictures, and a simple file-extension change (assuming a Windows box) would be enough, or failing that, a trivial utility that sticks a few extra bytes on the beginning to make it look like a real JPEG or whatever. (PNG is a bad choice since it has CRC sums embedded IIRC.)
