I still find it ironic that just before the argentinians invaded. Thatcher and her cabinet were going to remove the falkland islanders right to vote in british elections.

The Foreign Office had long wanted to hand the place over to the Argentinians, and minister Nicholas Ridley had done a speech in the Commons to that effect some time earlier too.
