DVD recorder for repair?
Feb. 20th, 2009 11:58 amA few weeks ago, our DVD recorder stopped working with what I strongly suspect is a power supply problem.
Somewhat annoyingly, it's proved cheaper to replace it than repair it, but it may well be repairable by someone who's better than I am (I know which end of the soldering iron gets hot, but I don't have the testing kit).
If someone in London wants to try, it's a Cyberhome bought from Asda about three years ago. Does +R/-R, multiregion, plays DivX .avis, and has a DVD+R with an off-air recording of Capricorn One inside :)
