Last night, just as I'd walked across the railway bridge, some man 'indecently exposed' himself to me - he had his penis out and was masturbating, asking if I wanted 'any of this'.

I ignored him (I was on the other side of the road) and called the police when I was around the corner.

Odd location - in no way is it a cruising ground, it's a reasonably busy walking route. My guess is that he had some mental health problem, meaning I was more sad for him than pissed off / scared.

Me and my Mum had a scary experience in our local park once. We spotted some guy masturbating in the bushes in broad daylight. We certainly didn't feel sorry for this guy, on the other side of this particular bush was a gang of young lads playing footie. The worse thing was when the guy had seen that we saw him he started to walk away, still with his prick out and began to wave at us. Really creepy. We followed him as we guessed he must have been parked up by the park, but instead he disappeared into somebodies garden. We called the police and reported the whole thing, they took ages to come out, but at least they took a statement.

Still gives me the creeps thinking about it.

Public masturbation was a big problem in the psych hospital, especially in the dual diagnosis ward, where they have so many visual and auditory hallucinations and are whacked out on so many meds, and are just plain bored on top of it.

I had something similar happen to me once, years ago. I was more surprised than shocked - it's just not something you expect to see whilst walking down the street. Afterwards I got a bit creeped out, at the thought of what *could* have happened, but as it was I just ignored the guy and carried on walking.

Not long ago, I was living in a less than stellar neighborhood in Washington DC. (I loved it, but admittedly, it's not the greatest place, although not the worst either.)

One rather oppressive summer evening, I went to the grocery store for a few things. The parking lot was separated from the pick up lane by a small plaza. Sitting on the base to one of the lamp posts was an older man, with all of his lower clothing around his ankles. I didn't look to see what precisely he was doing, but I did let the security people inside the store know.

What amazed me was the number of people totally ignoring it and behaving as if it were commonplace, which it wasn't. I'd in fact never seen the man before.

Why couldn't you just ignore him? I wouldn't have called the police. But maybe the police are different in your country. I don't like associating with cops...

Did calling the police help him? Or just help you?

Yes that is maybe disgusting and odd behavior...but it's not like he forced it on you or anything...and it's not like you're some innocent minor.

...

maybe I shouldn't have posted... :p
