San Francisco's Year Zero - We Were There was on BBC Four last night. I messed up the recording (set the recorder to an hour early, oops) but it's on iPlayer for the next week.

It could be better (including more than one mention of the b-word, and that was a 'I wasn't sure if I was bisexual or gay' from someone who decided they were the latter) but it's still very moving stuff, particularly when seeing someone I knew. Thank ghod it was never that bad here.

Thanks for flagging this up will watch when it's not late at night (so I can sleep).

I'm too young to have known the worst of the AIDS era as it were when it was actually scary but a lot of my original gay friends are now in their late 50s and 60s and I know a little about their experiences and so on.
