If, like me, you use oregano a lot while cooking, you may like to know that Aldi have 100g bags for 90-something pence each.

I bought a few...

They also have basil and a couple of other lesser herbs :-)

It was rather more expensive, but the one that I would love to have again was the sun-dried stalks of oregano from Crete that Tesco had at one point.

Oregano is one of the few herbs I have reliably available all summer (along with thyme) from pots in my garden. It comes up again year after year, and if I can grow it anybody can!
