I'm quite surprised that no-one has mentioned anything anywhere I can see about how close Iain Watters is to my name.

I don't watch Great British Bake Off, but even I realise that he's just become reality-show-famous...

That's a Brit thing, right? Like Bagpuss?

When I lived over there, it was noted that whenever I missed a reference in a given conversation, the reference usually had something to do with Bagpuss. Bagpuss is virtually unknown to the children of the US. It has been argued that this is a shame, but there it is.

Ahh
I did wonder (couldn't remember your surname).
But when I read his name I was like "That's oddly familiar".

But it's also similar to a business friend Ian, and then the paedophile Ian that got (and possibly still gets) Twitter abuse for being the singer, rather than the retired IT guy :-/

Randomly, that's an Ian Watkins.

Must be something in the name :-)

I noted it. I enjoy watching the show and the Jo Brand sequel on Fridays too. Ian came over well on that. Do you bake much?
