I've just lost a bit of a molar - something the size of a lentil broke off when I was eating some home-made burgers this evening.

Of course, neither of the out of hours contact mobile numbers for my dentist are on, or taking messages...

Fortunately, it doesn't hurt, but it's a pain in other ways.

You... lentil-eater-you! Actually, that's a brilliant term for a slither of something, well, just that size. Of couse you didn't state brown, red, or whatever, but they're all of a similar ilk. If it's any consolation, commiserations may be shared with al2u who managed, also this week, to chip one of his own (an incisor, I think) although in his case (if I'm not breaking confidence here) as a result of chewing a padlock... (The mind boggles)
