PC things I learnt today

lovingboth1) Put the CD back in the box when you've finished with it. I can find the CD box for Kai's Power Tools 6, but not the actual CD. Grrr. Anyone got a copy? I don't need the serial number - that's in the CD box.
2) Uninstall ZoneAlarm before doing anything with the network settings. I like ZoneAlarm a lot. BUT if you don't uninstall the thing, and Windows 98SE changes anything to do with networking, you're left with a PC that doesn't want to boot (VSDATA95(01) + 0001D6A8 making an invalid VxD call to device 0028 service 800A, if you must know) until you do.
