.. contain 'BUNDLE_PRICE_TEST_1M_UK_C', you can tell someone's doing some market research.

If you go to The Guardian's homepage today, what price are you offered if you click on the 'Support the Guardian' banner?

How did you feel when the 'Support through subscribing' price turned out to be fake news, and the actual price was higher? (Assuming it was: I was offered £9.99 a month, clicked to find out more and get told it's actually £11.99 a month.)

I'm in Italy at the moment and got a "Become a Supporter for €4.99 a month" page by clicking the banner at the foot of the home page. There was no option I could find for subscribing from there, although I abandoned the process where you had to create or sign in to a Guardian ID.

If I click on the Subscribe link on the home page I get a INTCMP=NGW_HEADER_INT_GU_SUBSCRIBE in the URL, and then if I click through from that landing page, and scroll down and look carefully, in small print I can see it's offering me a "Digital Pack offer" free for 14 days, "Then €7.48/month for 3 months / Then €14.99 every month thereafter". When I get to the signup page, it's pre-filled a promo code for 50% off for your first 3 months.

No banner on firefox or konq. clicked the "subscribe" button [ https://subscribe.theguardian.com/?INTCMP=NGW_HEADER_UK_GU_SUBSCRIBE ] No prices on that page, six options listed. 'Digital Pack offer' is free for 14 days, £5.99 for 3 months, then £11.99 pm after.
