The Today programme keeps talking about the one that's been photographed being eight metres across. The BBC's web site says eight metres long... which sounds much smaller.

either way sounds bloody big to me... Yikes! I often wonder what lurks in the deepest of deepest and dark ocean waters, prehistoric stuff I am sure. I have seen a few science shows that speculate, intereting and terrifying all at once.
